What is an EPC?

An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) shows how much it will cost to heat and light a building, as well as its likely carbon dioxide emission. The EPC card also explains steps that can be taken to improve the EPC rating. It is valid for ten years.

In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, EPC assessments can only be done by Domestic Energy Assessors, EPC assessors or government-approved organisations.

What is An EPC Rating?

An EPC rating is a review of the energy efficiency of your building. An EPC rating is from A – the most efficient to G – the least efficient.

What are the Benefits of getting an EPC Rating?

An EPC rating is required before you can purchase, sell, rent, or rent out a building in the UK

By getting an EPC assessment done, you can identify key areas to improve on to achieve optimum energy efficiency

An EPC rating is required for claiming incentives such as the government’s solar power Feed-In Tariff (FIT) scheme
